Trend Micro SafeSync for Consumer reached its End-of-Support (EOS) on January 31, 2017
This article discusses the End of Life (EOL) and End of Service (EOS) of SafeSync for Home.
Safesync for Enterprise is not affected by EOS/EOL. For more information, refer to this Knowledge Base page: SafeSync for Enterprise.
End of Life (EOL) marks the date that orders of SafeSync will no longer be accepted. Also, no further enhancements or cosmetic bugs will be fixed. End of Service (EOS) marks the date that the service and support for SafeSync will be terminated. Users will not be able to download their data and technical support will NOT be available after EOS.
SafeSync has reached its End of Life (EOL) and End of Service (EOS) on January 31, 2016 and January 31, 2017 respectively.
The reason behind this decision is that we cannot feasibly adapt/update the service to meet the changing consumer needs, environment, and IT usage.
No, you cannot renew your subscription after January 31, 2016
You can no longer access your files. All data stored in Cloud Storage has been purged.
Paid Safesync Subscribers can request for a refund of their remaining subscription until 90 days after January 31, 2017.
Subscribers who received the Safesync program as part of their Trend Micro Security bundle are not eligible to claim a refund. Customers who are eligible to claim a refund have already been notified through email. Refunds can no longer be requested at this time. Please contact our Technical Support if you have questions.
