You are receiving an email notificiation that your computer did not scan for threats in the past month.


To resolve the issue, do the following steps below:

Check Your Internet Connection

Trend Micro wants to ensure you have access to the latest protection all the time. This email notification will appear if the system detects that your computer has not connected to the Trend Micro server. Whenever you get this notification, connect to the Internet and update your program.

To update your Trend Micro Security, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security sofware. Do any of the following:
    • Double-click the Trend Micro icon on your desktop.
    • Double-click the Trend Micro system tray icon.
  2. Click Identity, then select About the Software.

    The About Your Software window will appear and will automatically check for available updates.

  3. Click Close once the download is complete or if there are no new updates available.

Run A Scan

Run a scan to check for malicious activity on your computer. To perform a scan, follow the steps below:

  1. On the main console of your Trend Micro Security, click the arrow beside Scan.

  2. Select either Full Scan or Quick Scan.

    The scan window should appear. Wait for the scan to finish.

  3. Click Close to close the scan results.
