[Hotfix] Unable to install think-cell updates and unable to open links from Windows Live Mail when Trend Micro Security is enabled

Your computer is unable to install think-cell updates when Trend Micro is enabled, and you are unable to open links in email using Windows Live Mail.

To fix the issue, do the following:


To install this hotfix, you must log onto your computer using an account with administrator privileges. If you have installed software on your computer before, you probably have these privileges.

We recommend that you print out this document or bookmark this page before proceeding because you will be asked to restart your computer during the procedure.

  1. Disable your Trend Micro Security software. Do any of the following:

    OPTION 1: Turn off Trend Micro Security software from the System Tray
    OPTION 2: Turn off Trend Micro Security software using the Diagnostic Toolkit
  2. Click the button below to download the hotfix:

  3. Double-click the Ti_1500_win_en_amsp_60_hfb2.7.1047.exe icon to run the hotfix.
  4. Accept the License Agreement, then click Next.
  5. Click Install.
  6. When a warning window appears, click Yes.
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Proceed on reinstalling think-cell updates or try opening links in email.
