This article outlines the following Trend Micro Anti-Threat Toolkit feature that collect data, the data transmitted, and the locations on the product console where you can disable the feature.

DESCRIPTION

Trend Micro Smart Feedback shares anonymous threat information with the Smart Protection Network, allowing Trend Micro to rapidly identify and address new threats.

Disabling Smart Feedback prevents the transmission of data to Trend Micro Smart Protection Network but will not impact the ability of ATTK to detect malicious activities.

The setting is available on GUI mode only, in CLI mode the setting is not configurable, hence if you don’t want to transmit data to Trend Micro, please do not run ATTK CLI mode.
