The installation of your Trend Micro Security software stops at 89% and you get the error code #1603, 3002, 0xe022000b. This can happen due to either of the following reasons:

 

  • There is an issue with the operating system
  • There are remnants of your old Trend Micro program on your computer

Make sure Windows updates are installed

If you encounter any issues, contact Microsoft to get assistance.

Run System File Checker to check integrity violations in the Operating System

Run the System File Checker, do the following:

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows Windows Key + R keys. The Run window should appear.
  2. On the Open field, type "cmd", then press ENTER. The Command Prompt window will open.
  3. On the Open field, type "sfc /scannow", then fix corrupted files.

    If you encounter any issues, contact Microsoft to get assistance.

Run the Uninstall Tool

Remove remnants of your previous Trend Micro installation using the Uninstall Tool.
