[Hot Fix] Titanium 2014 installation stops at 84% with error code "#1603, 3002, 0xe01a000c"

Problem Description

The installation of Trend Micro Titanium 2014 stops at 84 percent and you get the following error message:
"Installation Incomplete... Error code: #1603, 3002, 0xe01a000c"
This happens because of a problem with Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) API.

Solution

To resolve the issue, install the hot fix by following the steps below:
  1. Log onto the computer using an account with administrator privileges.
    Note: If you have installed a software on your computer before, then you probably have these privileges.
  2. Run the Trend Micro Titanium installer then cancel the installation when asked to proceed.
    Note: This step creates the extracted installation folder needed by the hot fix.
  3. Click the Download button below to start downloading the hot fix (Ti_70_win_en_EagleEye_hfb1143.exe), then save it to your desktop.

  4. Double-click the Ti_70_win_en_EagleEye_hfb1143.exe icon to run it.
  5. Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears.
  6. Read and accept the License Agreement, then click Next.
  7. Click Install.
    Note: An "Installation successful!" message will appear after installing the hot fix. ​
