"Incompatible Software Found" error message appears while installing Titanium 2013

Problem Description

You get the following error message while installing your Trend Micro Titanium 2013 program:
Incompatible Software Found
This happens when the Titanium installer detects that there are conflicting third-party security software installed on your computer. Clicking Check Incompatible Software List in the installation window will give you the list of programs that can conflict with your Titanium 2013.

Solution

You need to uninstall any conflicting software installed on your computer before installing your Titanium program. To do this, follow the steps below:
  1. Go to Start > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click either of the following:
    • For Windows XP: Add/Remove Programs
    • For Windows Vista and Windows 7: Programs and Features
  3. Select the program you wish to remove, then click Remove or Uninstall.
  4. Wait for the program to be uninstalled, then restart your computer.
