Problem Description

I encountered a problem with my Titanium Security for Netbooks and I need to uninstall it using the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.

Solution

Important: We recommend that you print out this document before proceeding because you will be asked to restart your computer during the procedure.

 

To uninstall Titanium Security for Netbooks using the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit, please do the following:

 

 

1.

Close all programs that are currently running before you run the Diagnostic Toolkit.

 

 

2.

Do one of the following:

If you still have Titanium Security for Netbooks installed, click on the Start menu to see the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit shortcut.

If you are reinstalling the program or you have already removed the original installation of Titanium Security for Netbooks, download the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit by clicking on the version of Windows you are using:

 

 

 

 

·

32-bit

 

 

 

 

·

64-bit

 

 

 

Note: For instructions on how to check whether you are using the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, refer to solution 1038680.

Click Save when the File Download window appears.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

b.

Select Desktop from the left pane to set the location for the download, and then click Save.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

c.

Wait while the download completes, then shut the Download complete window by clicking Close.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

d.

Go to your desktop and unzip the file you just downloaded. To do this, right-click it then go to WinZip > Extract to here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A new folder will appear. This will be named either 32bit or 64bit.

 

 

 

 

e.

Open the folder you extracted and double-click on the SupportTool.exe.

The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit opens.

 

 

3.

Go to the Uninstall tab. Click Uninstall to start the process.

 

Click 1. Uninstall

 

 

4.

Click Yes to confirm the uninstallation.

5.

Click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer to complete the uninstallation.

 

Restart your computer
