Problem Description

This article shows you how to upgrade your Trend Micro program from PC-cillin Internet Security 14 or 14.7 to Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security.
Note: You can upgrade your program version as long your subscription is not expired.

Solution

Important: PC-cillin Internet Security 14 or 14.7 and Trend Micro Internet Security 16.6 for Dell has already reached its End of Life and End of Support. It is advised to upgrade to the latest version which is Titanium Internet Security for Dell to keep you protected. To upgrade the Trend Micro program on your Dell computer, do the following:
  1. Take note of your serial number to be used for the upgrade.
    Follow the steps below on how to check the serial number:
    1. Open your Trend Micro program’s main console by double-clicking either of the following:
      • The Trend Micro icon on your desktop
      • The Trend Micro icon in your system tray
    2. Click Other Settings on the left pane, then click Subscription.
    3. Click More Details.
      A window with your active Serial Number and expiration date will appear.
  2. Uninstall the old version of your Trend Micro program. Refer to Older programs (2010 version and below) section from this Knowledge Base article for instructions: Uninstalling Trend Micro program using the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
