Problem Description

Solution

A full system scan checks your entire hard drive for security threats. Trend Micro recommends running this type of scan at least once a week.

For instructions on how to do this, please see the steps below:

1.

Open Trend Micro Internet Security 2010. This will bring up your program’s main console.

If you are not sure how to do this, you can find instructions in solution EN-1054450.

2.

Find the Scan button, click on the dropdown arrow beside it, and select Full system scan from the menu that appears.

This will launch the scan, which will check all the files on your computer.

3.

Wait while the scan completes. How long this takes will depend on the number of files you have on your system.

4.

Once the scan is done, view the scan results, which will show you any and all security threats detected by the program.
