To install Trend Micro Smart Surfing for Mac, please follow the instructions below:

Open up the Trend Micro Smart Surfing installer.
|
|
|
|
|
|

If you are using a CD, insert the disc into your drive, which should automatically launch the installer.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
If you do not have an installer and purchased your subscription online, do the following:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Download the installer file for Trend Micro Smart Surfing from the following link:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
This is saved onto your desktop by default; Trend Micro recommends retaining this location so you can easily access the file.

Double-click on the downloaded Disk Image (*.dmg) or Application file.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

On the installation window, click Install Trend Micro Smart Surfing.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

When you receive the notification “This package contains a program that determines if the software can be installed…” click Continue.
|
|
|
|
|

Click Continue again when you find yourself on the Welcome screen.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Once on the Software License Agreement screen, read the Trend Micro End User License Agreement then click Continue.
|
|
|
|
|

|
When you are prompted to agree or disagree to Trend Micro’s terms and conditions, click Agree to continue with the installation.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note: If you do not agree with the terms of the license agreement, you can click Disagree, but this will automatically terminate the installation process.

|
|
|
|

|

On the next screen, type your serial number into the field provided then click Continue.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Your serial number would have come with either your CD or the Order Confirmation email you would have received upon successfully completing your purchase.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note: A dash should be inserted after every sequence of four characters in your serial number except the last.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
8.

Start installing the Trend Micro Smart Surfing components by clicking Install.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
9.
|
When you are prompted, type in your administrator password, which you created when you first set up your Mac operating system, then click OK or hit the ENTER or RETURN key to continue.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
10.
|
Wait while the Trend Micro Smart Surfing components are installed onto your computer.
|
|
|
|
|
11.
|
When you see the notification of successful installation, click Close.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
