| How to Search |
| To search Trend Micro eSupport, type in a few descriptive words in the search field and press Return (Enter) on your keyboard for a list of relevant results. You will get results that contain all the words in your query. To refine or narrow your search, simply add more words to the search terms you have already entered, click the Search within results checkbox and then search again. |

Note: Search is not case-sensitive. There is no need to capitalize your keywords. "Trend Micro" and "trend micro" are treated as the same search. |

| Include a product name in your search |
|
The more we know about the product you are asking about, the more specific your search results will be. |

Compare the following examples: |
| • cannot register my product |
| • cannot register my InterScan Web Security Suite |
|
The second example ("cannot register my InterScan Web Security Suite") will help focus your results to information specifically related to registering your InterScan Web Security Suite. |

| Searching for phrases |
|
You can search for exact phrases by adding quotation marks. Search will look for documents containing words that appear together in the same order that you entered them in double quotes. |

Compare the following examples: |
| • how to upgrade |
| • "how to upgrade" |
|
The second example ("how to upgrade") will generate results that include this exact phrase. The first example could possibly generate results that include "how to", "upgrade", or some other combination of these words--but the exact phrase "how to upgrade" may not necessarily be at the top of the list of results. |
