"Trend Micro Already Installed" error message appears when installing Trend Micro Security software

You see the following error message when installing Trend Micro Security software:

Trend Micro Security Already Installed ...
You must remove version 11.0 before installing this software. Do you want to do that now?

You are getting this message because the latest version of the program is already installed.

To resolve this issue, do either of the following:

 


OPTION 1: Cancel the installation
If you already have the latest version and you accidentally started the new installation, click No.

 

To check if you are running the latest version of Trend Micro Security, refer to this Knowledge Base article: Checking if you have the latest version of Trend Micro Security software installed.

 


OPTION 2: Proceed with installation
If you still want to proceed with the installation, click Yes, then follow the prompts.
