Unable to run the Trend Micro Security installer

You are unable to install your Trend Micro Security program because of either of the following:

  • The installer fails to launch.
  • The installer cannot extract the files it needs to install your program.

This issue happens because of a possible malware infection that is blocking the installation of your Trend Micro program.

To resolve this, follow the steps below:
  1. Download the Trend Micro Anti-Threat Toolkit by clicking the download button below:
  2. Double-click svchost.exe.
    A black screen will appear while the tool initializes.

    Wait for the tool to finish scanning and cleaning your computer.
  3. Try to install your Trend Micro program again.
