Using the Rescue Disk feature of Trend Micro Security 2015

Learn how to remove persistent threats using the Rescue Disk feature of your Trend Micro 2015 software.
The Trend Micro Rescue Disk allows you to use a hard disk, CD, DVD, or USB drive to examine your computer without launching your Windows operating system. It finds and removes persistent or difficult-to-clean security threats that can lurk deep within your operating system.
Important:
  • We recommend that you print out this page or watch a video tutorial before proceeding because you will be asked to restart your computer during the procedure.
  • To run this tool using a USB drive, you will need an empty USB drive (128MB or larger). Any content that is saved on the USB will be erased during the process.
  • USB 3.0 is currently not supported in Rescue Disk.
