Unable to uninstall Trend Micro Security for Windows using the Diagnostic Toolkit

You are having issues removing Trend Micro Security from your computer using the Diagnostic Toolkit.

BEFORE YOU PROCEED: We recommend that you print out this document or bookmark this page before proceeding because you will be asked to restart your computer during the procedure.
To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Run the Uninstall Tool
To uninstall your Trend Micro program using the uninstall tool, follow the steps below:
  1. Download the Uninstall Tool by clicking the download button below:

     

     

  2. Double-click Ti_110_win_en_Tool_UninstallTool_hfb0001.exe to run it.
    Click Yes when the User Account Control Window appears.
  3. Read the License Agreement, click I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Click Uninstall Software.
  6. Enter the captcha characters and click Continue.
  7. Click Uninstall.
  8. Click Yes when prompted to restart your computer.
If you still cannot uninstall your Trend Micro Security program, proceed to STEP 2: Run the Remnant File Remover Tool

STEP 2: Run the Remnant File Remover Tool
To run the Remnant File Remover Tool, do the following:
  1. Download the Remnant Remover Tool by clicking the download button below:

     

     

  2. Double-click Ti_110_win_en_Tool_TMRemnantFileRemoveTool_hfb0001.exe to run it.
    Click Yes when the User Account Control Window appears.
  3. Read and accept the License Agreement, then click Next.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Click OK when warning windows open.
  6. Restart your computer.
