When you click on the Scan Now button on the Overview screen of Trend Micro Internet Security, Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, or Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware, the program will scan your entire computer for viruses and spyware. This includes your computer’s memory, registry, running programs, and all files and folders in all drives. It will also check your computer for any known Microsoft vulnerabilities.

To configure the settings of the full scan that runs when you click on Scan Now, please refer to the steps below:

Open the Trend Micro Internet Security main console by following either of the steps below:

Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security > Trend Micro Internet Security.

Double-click on the Trend Micro Internet Security icon at the lower right corner of your screen.

On the Overview screen, click on the arrow beside the Scan Now button, and select Custom scan.

3.

On the Custom Scan window, click on the Settings tab. Once there, you can select the settings you want for the scan.

Click Close to save your settings.

5.

Close the main console.
