Worry-Free Business Security Standard/Advanced - 5.1, 6.0, 7.0
Windows - 2000 Server, 2003 Standard Server Edition, 2008 Datacenter Server, 2008 Enterprise Server, 2008 Standard Server Edition, Vista 32-bit, XP Home

Problem Description

When your evaluation/trial version is about to expire, you will see a notification message on the Live Status page of the WFBS console. When you purchase a licensed version, you will be given a Registration Key (RK) or an Activation Code (AC). You can upgrade to the fully-licensed version using the web console and your configuration settings will be saved as well.

Solution

To upgrade your evaluation/trial version to a full version of WFBS, please do the following:
  1. Back up the Security Server database. To do this, refer to this solution: Files to back up before upgrading to WFBS.
  2. Delete all log files by doing the following:
    1. Log on to the WFBS Advanced console.
    2. Go to Reports > Maintenance > Manual Log Deletion.
    3. Under Log Type section, enter "0" on the Delete logs older than field and then click Delete.
    4. Repeat Step 2c for all Log Types.
  3. On the main menu, click Preferences > Product License.
  4. Click View license upgrade instructions.
  5. If you have an Activation Code, select Enter a new code, then go to Step 6. Otherwise, do the following:
    1. Click Online Registration.
    2. Use the RK to get an AC. The RK will be sent to you when you purchase a fully-licensed version of the product.
  6. Enter the AC in the New Activation Code field.
  7. Click Activate.
