Upgrading lower versions of Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) Standard to version 6.0 Service Pack (SP) 3

Problem Description

The following versions can upgrade to WFBS 6.0 SP3:

    o WFBS 5.0 / 5.1 Standard
    o WFBS 6.0 Standard 
    o WFBS 6.0 SP1 Standard
    o WFBS 6.0 SP2 Standard

Note: If you are using WFBS Advanced, please go to this solution:  Upgrading WFBS Advanced to version 6.0 SP3.

Solution

     

Please do the following:

   
   
   
   

1.

Back up the Security Server database. Refer to this solution: Important files to back up before upgrading to WFBS Standard

   
   
   
  Note: All files are automatically backed up in C:\trend_backup when upgrading to WFBS 6.0 SP2 and above.
   
   
   

2.

Do one of the following:

     
     
     
     
 

o

Insert the installation CD on a disk drive.

     
     
     
 

o

Download the installer from the Trend Micro Update Center.

     
    - For WFBS 5.0/5.1, click the Product Download/Update tab > WFBS 6.0 with Service Pack 3 
     
    - For WFBS 6.0, 6.0 SP1 or 6.0 SP2, click Service Pack tab > Service Pack 3 for WFBS 6.0. 
     
     

3.

Click Next when you see the Welcome to the Install Shield Wizard for Trend Micro Installation page.

   
   
   
   

4.

Accept the license agreement terms, then click Next.

   
   
   
   
 

The setup detects that you have a previous version of the product.

   
   
   
   

5.

Click Next to upgrade.

   
   
   
   

6.

When the upgrade is finished, do one of the following:

   
   
   
   
 

o Read the readme file.

   
   
   
 

o Open the WFBS Standard console.

   
   
   
   

7.

Click Finish.

   
   
   
  If you encounter issues during the upgrade process, please collect the following and request assistance from Technical Support using this link.
  1. ofcmas.log inside the \Windows folder
  2. An export of the Windows System Information file (in NFO format)
  3. An export of the Application and System Event logs.
