I get the message “Too many installations” when I register or activate Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware

Problem:

The “Too many installations” window keeps appearing when I try to register or activate Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 or Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2009 after doing either of the following:

• Installed the program on more than one computer

• Reformatted my computer and reinstalled the program

	If you installed the program on more than 1 computer:

		Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2009 is only good for 1 computer. To protect another computer, purchase an additional license from the online store, which you can access by clicking the Buy Now button under Option 2 on the Too Many Installations window.

	If you reformatted your computer and installed it again:

		If you have reformatted your computer and are installing the program on the same computer, type the email address and password you used when you first registered the program into the fields provided under Option 1.

		If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot your password? link and a new password will be emailed to your registered address. If the email address you used is no longer valid, prepare the following information then contact Technical Support:
		•	Serial Number
		•	Old Email Address
		•	New Email Address
