Apply this registry key:

Important: Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.

======================
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\Aegis]
"RmSysEventDebugFlags"=dword:000f0006
======================

"RmSysEventDebugFlags"=dword:000f0006 will remove the file hooking from AEGIS. This means that AEGIS service will no longer receive the any file events.

The Symantec Backup software generates huge file events and AEGIS processes these events which lead to performance drop issue.

3.

Restart the machine.
