Problem Description

The Internet Explorer process (iexplorer.exe) causes high CPU usage at random times when the OSCE firewall is enabled in the Dell Optiplex GX280 machine.

Solution

This is an issue caused by the sound card driver that comes with the Dell Optiplex GX280 machine.

Resolve by updating the sound card driver, which can be downloaded from the Dell Drivers and Downloads page.
