Installing the Worry-Free Remote Manager (WFRM) Agent

Problem Description

This article showa the steps for installing the WFRM Agent, which requires the following:

 

Client Server Security for SMB (CS) 3.5/3.6 or Client Server Messaging Security for SMB (CSM) 3.5/3.6 or Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) 5.1, 6.0, and 7.0

Active Internet connection

50 MB available had disk space

Globally Unique Identifier (GUID)- this is generated and provided by the reseller

Solution

To install the agent, please do the following:

   

1.

Copy the WFRM Agent installation file to the CS/CSM/WFBS Security Server.

   

2.

Open the installation file and then read the license agreement.

   

3.

Select I accept the terms of the license agreement then click Next.

   

4.

Enter your name and the name of your company.

   

5.

Specify the installation location. To use the default location, click Next.

   

6.

For the Server Address, enter the FQDN of the WFRM server.

   
 

Use the FQDN that corresponds to your region:

   
 

North America: wfrm-usa.trendmicro.com

 

Europe/Middle East: wfrm-emeaa.trendmicro.com

 

Asia Pacific: wfrm-apaca.trendmicro.com

 

Latin America: wfrm-lara.trendmicro.com

   

7.

Select a communication protocol and then enter the necessary information:

   
 

HTTPS (Recommended)

       
   

a.

Click HTTPS and then type port 443.

   

b.

Get the WFRM Agent SSL certificate.

   

c.

Enter the path and filename of the SSL certificate or click the Browse button to locate the SSL certificate.

       
 

HTTP - Select HTTP and then type port 80.

       

8.

Click Next.

   

9.

Specify the settings if your CS / CSM / WFBS server uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet, and then click Next.

   

10.

Type the agent name and the GUID, and then click Next.

   

11.

Review the installation settings and then click Next > Finish.
