To upgrade the Trend Micro program on your Dell computer, please do the following:

|
1.

Take note of your serial number since this will be used while installing your upgrade.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
For instructions on how to check your serial number, refer to solution EN-126655.
|
|
|
|
2.
|
Once you have your serial number, uninstall PC-cillin Internet Security 14 or 14.7 for Dell from your computer.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
For instructions on how to do this, refer to solution EN-1033906.
|
|
|
|
|
3.
|
Download the installer file onto your desktop from the location below:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/tis/dell/en-US_TISDell_Download.exe
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note: This installer is compatible with Windows XP and both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.
|

|
|
|
|
|
|

Click on the link above. The File Download window will appear.
|
|
|

Click Save. This will open the Save As window.

Select Desktop from the left pane as the location for the download then click Save.

Wait until the download is complete.

4.

Start the installation by running the downloaded installer file.

Go to your desktop and double-click on the TIS_32_64_Download.exe file, or

Click the Run button on the Download Complete window.

Wait while the program extracts the necessary files.

Read the license agreement then select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

When prompted, type in your serial number and click Next.

Note: If you do not have your serial number handy, find it on the Order Confirmation email you received after buying the product. If you cannot find this email, go to our online store’s Download Information page.

When you see the Ready to Install window, click Install.

Wait for the installation to complete. You will see the notification “Trend Micro Internet Security installed successfully.”

Click Next, which will start the activation of the program modules.

Wait until all modules have been activated.
|
|
|
|

5.
|
Activate or register your subscription.
|
|
|
|

|

Sign in or create your Trend Micro account.
|
|

|
|
|
|
Note: If your email address is already in our system, which can happen if you have used it to register other Trend Micro products, you already have an account.

If you do not have a Trend Micro account yet, fill up the required fields and click Next.
|

If you already have a Trend Micro account, click Sign In then type in your email address and password.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Note: If you have forgotten the password to for your registered account, click on the Forgot your password? link.

|
|

|

You will receive confirmation of your registration with your serial number and expiry date.

Click Next.

When prompted, select the type of connection you are using to access the Internet and click Next.

Select whether you want to protect additional computers (you are allowed to install the software on up to two more computers) and click Next.
