To resolve this issue, you will need to download the installer folder onto another computer and transfer it to the computer you want to install your Home and Home Office product on. Thus, you will need another computer that is connected to the internet and a removable data drive such as a flash disk or portable hard drive.

Please follow the instructions below:

1.

Do the following on the other computer:

a.

Click here to select the installer file you wish to download.

b.

Save the installer onto your desktop.

c.

Double-click on the installer file, which will start the extraction process.

d.

When you see “Preparing to install…” on the Windows Installer window, click Cancel.

e.

When you get the Trend Micro installer window saying “Installation Interrupted,” click Finish.

f.

There will be a folder on your desktop after the extraction. Copy it onto your removable data drive.

2.

Go back to the computer you want to install your Trend Micro Home and Home Office product on.

3.

Open the extracted folder.

4.

Open the Setup folder.

5.

Double-click on Setup.exe to run it.

You should be able to install your program now. If the problem persists, however, follow the instructions below:

c.

On the list of services, scroll down and look for Windows Installer. Double-click on it.

b.

Click Task Manager.

c.

In the Task Manager, click File, then select New Task (Run).
