To upgrade to Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2010, follow the steps below:

Important: We recommend that you print out this document before proceeding because you will be asked to restart your computer during the procedure.

1.

Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive. The Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware installation window will appear.

2.

Click Install Program.

Wait while the setup application checks whether your computer meets the program’s system requirements and whether any products that might cause software conflicts are installed.

4.

When the setup detects an older version of Trend Micro Internet Security on your computer, click Yes to remove the older version from your system.

5.

Read the License Agreement, select I accept the terms in the License Agreement option, and click Next.

6.

Verify that your existing serial number has been automatically placed in the field provided, then click Next.

7.

On the Install Options window, select the type of installation you want to run, then click Next to start the setup process.

8.

Wait while the setup program removes other Trend Micro software from your computer.

9.

When the setup program prompts you to restart your computer so other Trend Micro products will be fully removed from your system, click Restart Now.

10.

Wait while the 2010 version of your program is installed on your computer.

If you are connected to the Internet at this time, you will be prompted to register your program. If not, you will proceed to the next step.

When the installation is complete, your subscription will be activated for Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2010.

11.

Run an initial update and scan.

For instructions on how to do this, click on the action you wish to perform:
