1.

Open the Trend Micro Smart Surfing
Setup screen by opening the program's disk image (.DMG) file on
your desktop.
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
2.
|
Click Uninstall Trend Micro
Smart Surfing.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
3.
|
Click Uninstall to
start removing the program from your computer when the confirmation
screen appears.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
4.
|
Type the administrator name and
password, then press Enter.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note: The Administrator
password is the one you set when you installed and setup your Mac
operating system.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
5.
|
Wait while the uninstall process
starts and the components for your Trend Micro Smart Surfing are
unloaded from your Mac.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
6.
|
Click OK when a
window confirming that the program has been completely uninstalled
appears.
|

|
|

Toolkit
|

|
|
|
1.
|
Go to the Applications folder. Do
any of the following:
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
Go to Go >
Applications.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
Click the Applications folder on
your Dock.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
Open the Hard Drive, then click the
Applications folder.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
Press COMMAND + SHIFT +
A.
|
|
|
|
|
|
2.
|
Open the Trend Micro folder.
|
|
|
|
|
3.
|
Open the Trend Smart Surfing
Diagnostic Toolkit.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note: The Trend Smart Surfing
Diagnostic Toolkit can also be accessed using Spotlight.
|
|
|
|
|
4.
|
Click the General
tab on the Trend Smart Surfing Diagnostic Toolkit.
|
|
|
|
|
5.
|
Click Uninstall to
remove the Trend Micro Smart Surfing for Mac application.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Note: Type your admin password
to proceed with the uninstallation when prompted.
|
|
|
|
|

Manually uninstall your Trend Micro
program

1.
|
Right-click the Trend Micro Smart
Surfing icon on the Notification area.
|
|
|
|
|
2.
|
Click Shut Down Trend Smart
Surfing.
|
|
|
|
|
3.
|
Go to the Applications folder. Do
any of the following:

|
|
|

|
Go to Go >
Applications.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
Click the Applications folder on
your Dock.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
Open the Hard Drive, then click the
Applications folder.
|
|
|

Press COMMAND + SHIFT +
A.

|

|
Drag and Drop the Trend Micro
folder into the Trash.
