Problem Description

This article shows you how to set scheduled scans for Trend Micro Smart Surfing for Mac.

Solution

You can configure your program preferences for Trend Micro Smart Surfing for Mac so it follows a schedule for scans that you can set according to your needs or lifestyle.

To learn how to do this, please follow the steps below:

1.

Click Trend Micro Smart Surfing on the Search bar, then select Open Preferences . . . from the dropdown menu that appears.

2.

Make sure the protection vault is not locked. Otherwise, the settings will be grayed out, and you will not be able to make changes to them.

If the protection vault is locked, you can unlock it by clicking on the lock icon and typing your administrator password into the field provided.

Note: The administrator password is the one you created when you first set up your Mac system.

4.

Set the frequency at which you want to scan your computer and the targets you want to scan by clicking on the appropriate up and down buttons.

5.

Click OK to save your changes.
