Make sure the protection vault is not locked. Otherwise, the settings will be grayed out, and you will not be able to make changes to them. If the protection vault is locked, you can unlock it by clicking on the lock icon and typing your administrator password into the field provided. Note: The administrator password is the one you created when you first set up your Mac system. 4. Set the frequency at which you want to scan your computer and the targets you want to scan by clicking on the appropriate up and down buttons. 5. Click OK to save your changes.
