Please follow the instructions below:

1.

Open the Trend Micro Smart Surfing installer.

·     

If you are using a CD: Insert the disc into your drive, which should automatically launch the installer.

·     

If you do not have an installer and purchased your subscription online, do the following:

a.

Download the installer file for Trend Micro Smart Surfing.

This is saved onto your desktop by default.

Trend Micro recommends retaining this location so you can easily access the file.

b.

Double-click the downloaded Disk Image (*.dmg) or Application file.

2.

Click Install Trend Smart Surfing.

3.

Click Continue when you receive the notification:

"This package contains a program that determines if the software can be installed…"

4.

Click Continue again when you find yourself on the Welcome screen.

5.

Read the Trend Micro End User License Agreement, then click Continue.

6.

Click Agree when you are prompted to agree or disagree to Trend Micro's terms and conditions  to continue with the installation.

Note: If you do not agree with the terms of the license agreement, you can click Disagree, but this will automatically terminate the installation process.

7.

Type your serial number on the field provided, then click Continue.

Your serial number would have come with either your CD or the Order Confirmation email you would have received upon successfully completing your purchase.

Note: A dash should be inserted after every sequence of four characters in your serial number except the last.

8.

Click Install to start installing the Trend Micro Smart Surfing components.

9.

Type your administrator password, which you created when you first set up your Mac operating system, then click OK or press ENTER or RETURN.

10.

Wait while the Trend Micro Smart Surfing components are installed onto your computer.

11.

Click Close when you see the notification of successful installation.
