To install the program, please follow the steps below:

Note: Trend Micro recommends doing a pre-installation check to ensure a smooth installation. Refer to solution EN-1053687 for more information.

1.

Uninstall PC-cillin Internet Security for Dell version 12 or 14 from your computer.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
For instructions on how to do this, click on the program you wish to remove:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

PC-cillin Internet Security 12 (2005) for Dell
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
PC-cillin Internet Security 14 for Dell

Download the installer file onto your Desktop. If you are not sure how to do this, do the following:

|
|
|
|
|
|

Click on the installer file link above.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
When the File Download window appears, click Save.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
c.
|
On the Save As window, click Desktop on the left pane to select it as the location for the save.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
Click Save then wait as the file is downloaded to your computer. How long this takes will depend on the speed of your Internet connection.

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Run the installer file by doing either of the following:

|
|
|
|
|
|
|

On the Download Complete window, click Run.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Go to your desktop and double-click on the installer file, TIS17.1pro_dell_en_setup.exe.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Wait while the installer makes sure your computer meets the software’s system requirements.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
Read the License Agreement, select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
6.
|
When prompted, type your serial number into the field provided and click Next.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
7.
|
On the Install Options window, select Regular Installation to install the program with the recommended settings, then click Next.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
8.
|
Wait while the installation completes.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
9.
|
Click Activate Now. This will start the activation of the various program modules and features.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
10.
|
Make sure you are connected to the Internet by the time all the modules are activated.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
11.
|
Wait while the modules finish activating.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
12.
|
Activate your subscription. For instructions on how to do this, click on the computer you are installing the program on:

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
First or primary computer
|
|
|
|
|
·
|
Second or third (secondary) computer
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
13.
|
Run an initial update and scan on your computer. Note that these processes will be done automatically in the future.
