How do I update my 2008 or 2009 Trend Micro program?

Problem Description

I want to know how to update any of the following Trend Micro Internet Security/Trend Micro AntiVirus product:

 

Trend Micro Internet Security 2008

Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2008

Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008

Trend Micro Internet Security 2009

Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2009

Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2009

Solution

By default, Trend Micro Internet Security and Trend Micro AntiVirus products are set to automatically get updates from the Internet.

 

If you prefer to update it manually, please follow the steps below:

   

1.

Open the Trend Micro main console. For instructions on how to do this, refer to solution EN-1036436.

2.

In the Overview tab section, click Update Now.An update progress window will appear.

3.

When the update process is complete, check the date the update was performed in the Last update section of the main console. It should show "Defenses up to date".
