How do I update my 2008 or 2009 Trend Micro Home and Home Office product?

Solution

To update your Trend Micro Home and Home Office product, please do the following:

Note: If you know how to update your product but are experiencing issues when you try to do so, refer to the Related Information section of this article or search our Knowledge Base for a solution to your particular issue.

1.

Make sure that you are connected to the Internet.

2.

Start the update by doing any of the following:

Click Update Now on the Overview screen of the main console.

Click Other Settings > Automatic Updates on the main console, then click Update Now.

Right-click the Trend Micro icon on the lower right corner of your screen then select Update Now.

Click Start > Control Panel then double-click Get new Trend Micro updates.

The following window opens and shows the progress of the update. The time it will take to finish will depend on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the update.

Note: If your Trend Micro program is already up-to-date, the following message appears. Click OK to close the window.

4.

When the update is finished, the update progress window automatically closes.

Note: If a message appears asking you to restart your computer, click Yes to complete the update.
