To resolve this issue, you can do either of the following:

Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
|
|
•
|
Download and use the standalone Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit
|

Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
|
| |

1.

Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility by clicking here.
|
| |
|
|
2.
|
On the File Download window that appears, click Save.
|
| |
|
|
3.
|
On the Save As window, click Desktop on the left pane as the location, then click Save. This will allow easy access to the file.
|

|
| |
|
| |
|
|
4.
|
After the download is complete, go to your desktop and double-click on the msicuu2.exe file to run it and begin the installation.
|

|
|
5.
|
Install the program.
Refer to the steps below for instructions on how to do this:

When the Open File - Security Warning window opens, click Run.
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |

When you get to the welcome page for the Windows Installer Clean Up Installation Wizard, click Next to start the installation.

c.
|
Read the license agreement, select I accept the License Agreement, and click Next.
|

Click Next on the next window to start installing the program.
|
| |

|
When you receive the notification that Windows Installer Clean Up has been successfully installed, click Finish.

Open the program by clicking Start > Programs or All Programs> Windows Install Clean Up.
|

|
|
7.
|
On the list of installed products in the Windows Installer Clean Up window, look for your Trend Micro program, click on it, then click Remove.
|

| |

| |
|
|
8.
|
When you see the warning window, click OK.
|
| |
|
|
9.
|
Wait for the program removal to complete, then restart your computer so the changes can take effect.
