To uninstall your program from your computer, Trend Micro recommends using the TAVTool.exe file.

For instructions, please refer to the steps below:

Note: If you have already uninstalled the program but find remaining components on your system, use the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit to remove these. For instructions on using the toolkit, refer to solution EN-1037161.

1.

Close the Trend Micro AntiVirus main console if it is open. If not, proceed to the next step.

Go to your desktop and double-click My Computer.

On the window that appears, double-click Local Disk.

Go to the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\AntiVirus 2007 folder.

Double-click on the TAVTool.exe file. This file uses a red-and-white lifesaver icon.

6.

When the Trend Micro Technical Support Tool window opens up, go to the [D] Uninstall tab.

Under the Uninstall section, click 3. Uninstall.

8.

When the confirmation message appears, click Uninstall.

9.

Wait for while the program is uninstalled from your system.

Note: If you see a message asking you if you want to delete quarantined files, click Yes to proceed.

10.

When the uninstallation is complete and you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.

If you are planning to reinstall Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2007, you need to install Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2010 instead since this program has passed its end-of-life and end-of-support dates.
