For Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2009 or Trend Micro Internet Security 2009: |

1. | Open the Trend Micro Internet Security main console by doing any of the following: |
|
|
|
| | Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security > Trend Micro Internet Security. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| | Double-click the Trend Micro Internet Security icon  on the lower right corner of your screen. |
|
|
|
|
|
2. | Click Other Settings on the left panel of the window and click Password on the right. Click Settings under that. |
|
|
|
|
|
3. | Put a checkmark in the Activate password protection checkbox. Type your desired password then re-type it to confirm. |
|
|
|
|
|
Note: The password should be at least six (6) characters long. It is also useful to set a hint that you can use in case you forget your password (This is optional). |
|
|
4. | Click the OK button when you are done. |
|
|
5. | Close the Trend Micro Internet Security main console. |
|
|
Important: Do not forget your password. Without your password, you cannot uninstall the program or change its settings. You will only be able to use the following features: |
|
|
| Scan Now from the main console Overview screen |
| Update Now |
| Check Network function of the Wireless Home Network Monitor |
| Disconnect from network (Network Cutoff Switch) |
| Help & Support section |
