Trend Micro Internet Security 16.6 for Dell can be installed on up to three (3) computers. Follow the steps below for instructions on how to install the program on your first computer.

Note: After successfully installing it, refer to EN-1037631 for instructions on installing them on your second and third computer.

1.

Download the installer by clicking on its location:

Note: This installer is compatible with Windows XP and the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.

When the File Download window opens, click Save. This will open the Save As window.

Select Desktop from the left pane as the location for the download, and click Save.

A window showing the progress of your download will appear.

Wait while the download completes.

5.

To start the installation, go to your desktop and double-click on the downloaded file. The Trend Micro Internet Security installation window will appear.

Wait while the program extracts the necessary files.

When the License Agreement window appears, read its contents then select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

On the Serial Number window, type in your serial number and click Next.

Note: If you do not have your serial number handy, find it on the Order Confirmation email you received after buying the product. If you cannot find this email, go to our online store’s Download Information page.

When you see the Ready to Install window, click Install. A window showing the installation’s progress will appear.

Wait for the install to complete. You will see the notification “Trend Micro Internet Security installed successfully.”

Click Next. This will prompt the installer to start activating the program’s modules.

Once all modules have been activated, you will need to activate or register your subscription. The way you do this will depend on whether or not you have an existing Trend Micro account.

Note: If your email address is already in our system, which can happen if you have used it in the past to register other Trend Micro products, you already have an account.

If you do not have a Trend Micro account yet, fill up the required fields and click Next.

If you already have a Trend Micro account, click on the Sign in button then type in your email address and password to activate your subscription.

Note: If you have forgotten the password for your registered account, click on the Forgot your password? link.

You will receive confirmation of your registration with your serial number and expiry date.

Click Next.

When prompted, choose the type of connection you are using to access the Internet then click Next.

15.

Choose whether you want to protect additional computers (you are allowed to install the software on up to two more computers), and then click Next.

16.

When you see a window saying, “Trend Micro Internet Security now protects you,” click Finish.

Run an initial update and scan.
