How do I allow or block access to specific websites with Trend Micro Internet Security 2009?

To allow or block specific websites, please do the following:

 

1.

Open the Trend Micro Internet Security main console by doing any of the following:

   
 

Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security > Trend Micro Internet Security.

 

Double-click the Trend Micro Internet Security icon on the lower right corner of your screen.

   

2.

Click Internet & Email Controls on the left panel.

   

3.

Under Protection Against Web Threats, click Settings.

   
 

   

4.

Make sure the Activate protection against web threats checkbox is enabled.

   

5.

Click on Approved websites or Blocked websites.

   
 

   

6.

A window opens showing your list of Approved or Blocked Websites. Click Add to add a new website.

   
 

   

7.

Do any of the following to add a an approved or blocked website:

   
 

Select Add the address (URL) of a website then type the entire address of the website you want to allow or block.

     
 

Select Import addresses (URLs) of websites recently opened then select the website from the list. You can use the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple websites.

     
 

Select Import addresses (URLs) from your Internet Explorer "Favorites" then select the website from the list. You can use the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple websites.

   
 

   

8.

To allow or block all subpages of the selected websites, enable the Include all pages of the websites selected checkbox.

   

9.

Click OK three times.

   

10.

Close the Trend Micro Internet Security main console.

   
 

Note: If your Internet Explorer browser is currently open, you need to close and re-open it for the new settings to take effect.
