You need to activate or register your Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 so it can receive the latest updates from Trend Micro and keep your protection current. To do this, please follow the instructions below:

 

1.

Trigger the activation process for your product by doing either of the following:

 

 

 

If you are connected to the Internet while you install the program, you will automatically be prompted to activate your subscription, so you do not have to do anything.

 

 

 

 


If you are not connected to the Internet during the installation (e.g. if you are on a dialup connection), do the following:

 

 

 

 

 

a.

Connect to the Internet.

 

 

b.

Open the main console of Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008.

 

 

c.

Click Fix Now or Not activated yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.

On the activation window below, you can either fill in the form if you want to Create a new account or click Sign in to use your previous registration details, to know more about each option select from the list:

Select Create a new account if . . .

 

 

 

 

 

 


The email address you are using has not been previously used to register older versions of this product or other Trend Micro products.

 

 

 

 

 

If you are not sure whether or not your email address has already been used to register a different account, type in your email address and the succeeding details in the fields provided. The system will verify that the address has not been previously used.

If the email has already been registered on our system, you will receive the error message “Address already in use. Enter another address or sign into your account.” Two options are available to you if you get this message: either use an alternate email address or use the existing account registered with the email address you typed in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

o  

If you see a green checkmark beside the email address, it means your email address has not yet been registered on our system. When you see this, go ahead and activate your account by filling in all the required details on the form then clicking Next.

 

 

 

 


You want to create a new account with a new email address.

 

 

 

 

 

To do this, fill up all the required details, making sure that there is a green checkmark beside your email address, and click Next.
