Hot Fix Overview

 

Hot fix - build 1257 resolves the issue so that QuickTime videos built into web pages become viewable.

To resolve the issue:

 

Important: To install this hot fix, you must log on to your computer using an account with administrator privileges. If you have installed software on your computer before, then you probably have these privileges.

 

1.

Download the hot fix file, tis_1700_win_en_NSC_hfb_1118.exe, onto your computer.

 

 

2.

When the File Download window appears, click Save. This will open the Save As window.

 

 

3.

Select Desktop on the left pane as the location, then click Save.

 

 

4.

After the download is complete, go to your desktop and double-click on the hot fix installer file.

 

 

 

If you are using Windows Vista and see a notification asking whether you want to continue, click Allow.

 

 

 

The License Agreement window will appear.

 

 

5.

Read the license agreement and select I accept the terms of the legal agreement, then click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

6.

On the next window, click Install.

 

 

7.

When you are prompted to update your security software, click Yes to start the installation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note: While applying this hot fix, you may receive an error saying “Your computer might be at risk.” This error or notification would appear in the bottom right corner of your screen, near the system clock. If you get this error, ignore this while the hot fix tries to install on your computer.

 

 

 

 

 

8.

When you see a notification saying you will need to restart your computer for the update to take effect, click OK.

 

 

9.

Once the installation is complete, you will receive a confirmation window with the message “Installation successful!” Click OK.

 

 

10.

Restart your computer.

 

 

11.

After applying this hot fix, update your Trend Micro program.
