Which operating systems can I run the program on?

Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 can only be installed with the following versions of Microsoft Windows (to see the full set of system requirements for this program, refer to solution EN-1037882):

Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 (32-bit only; the program cannot work with Windows XP 64-bit)

All versions of Windows Vista (Premium, Ultimate, Home Business, and Home Premium) with or without Service Pack 1

For Windows 7 users, you need to upgrade to Trend Micro Internet Security 2010, which is the latest version. The upgrade is free as long as your subscription has not yet expired. For instructions on how to do this, refer to EN-1054206.

How do I upgrade the older version of Trend Micro Internet Security or PC-cillin Internet Security currently on my computer to the 2009 version?

If you have an older version of Trend Micro Internet Security (version 2008 as well ass PC-cillin Internet Security 2007, 2006, or older), you can upgrade to the 2009 version for free if your subscription is not yet expired. Just download and install the latest version. When registering, use the same serial number.

Note: The expiration date will stay the same since you will be using the same license.

If you have an expired subscription, you will need to purchase either an online renewal or an upgrade at a local retail store.
