Can I still update my program if my subscription has expired?

 

 

No. You need a valid subscription in order to receive updates for your Trend Micro program. If your license has expired, you can either purchase a renewal online or purchase an upgrade on your local retail store. Once your license is current, you will be able to receive updates for your program.

How do I start receiving program updates?

 

 

Before you can start receiving program updates, you need to register your Trend Micro program—that is, activate your subscription. Otherwise, you will not be able to receive the latest updates for your program.

Can I do other tasks while my program is downloading updates?

 

 

Yes, you can still use other features and applications on your computer while your Trend Micro program is downloading updates.

 

 

 

Minimize the update progress window by clicking Continue in the background.

 

 

 

 

 

Open up or restore the update window by double-clicking on the red circular icon in the system tray (beside your computer’s clock).

How can I tell when I have successfully updated my program?

 

 

Once the update finishes, the update window will disappear.

 

 

 

You can make sure that the update has been downloaded and applied by doing the following:

 

 

 

 

1.

Open your Trend Micro program to bring up the main console.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To do this, you can either double-click on the desktop or system tray Trend Micro icon or click Start > Programs or All Programs then select your program from the folder for your Trend Micro product.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.

Once on the main console, look for the Update Now button and make sure that the latest date (that is, the day you perform the update) is displayed under it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This verifies that the update has been applied.
