I am a customer of CSM 3.6 bundled with Email Reputation Services (ERS) Hosted and I want to upgrade to WFBS Advanced. Can I use all three services at the same time?

No. These three services require different MTA and DNS configurations, and will then create conflict with the email configuration. For more information, refer to this solution: What is the difference between ERS, ERS Hosted, and Hosted Email Security (HES)?

o

I am a customer of CSM 3.6 bundled with ERS Hosted and I want to upgrade to WFBS Advanced. What email services are available to me?

Yes. These two services need different configurations. ERS Hosted needs MX record redirection while ERS standalone does not. If you will switch from ERS Hosted to ERS standalone, you need to bring back the original DNS settings (MX Record). For more information, refer to this solution: What is the difference between ERS, ERS Hosted, and HES?

Can I use HES together with ERS Hosted / standalone?

No. You can choose not to if you already have a hosted service or if you do not want to use HES - Inbound Filtering or ERS. WFBS Advanced is bundled with free HES - Inbound Filtering.
