Problem Description

The installation may hang when copying the aucomp.xml file. The installation progress bar appears finished, but the Client/Server Security Agent Listener Service may fail to start due to the incomplete installation.

This issue occurs on a client which meets all of the following criteria:

WFBS server was upgraded to SP2 from WFBS 6.0 GM or WFBS 6.0 SP1.

The server upgrade package was the standalone package downloaded from the Trend Micro download center between March 24 – April 3, 2010.

The CSA was installed with a fresh installation, not from upgrade.

The CSA was installed on x64 platform.

Notes:

A Client/Server Security Agent that was upgraded from the WFBS 6.0 GM or WFBS6.0 SP1 version will not be affected by this issue.

This issue would not occur if you installed the WFBS6.0 SP2 full package.

Solution

3.

o

WFBS Advanced

o

WFBS Standard

If the issue still occurs, contact Trend Micro Technical Support and provide the Case Diagnostic Tool (CDT) log generated on the WFBS server.
