Problem:

Below is a screenshot of the message:

 

 

“You may activate the software on a limited number of computers. Only after activation can you download updates that protect against latest threats.”

The message appears if you have installed Trend Micro Internet Security Pro or Trend Micro Internet Security on more than three computers or have reinstalled the program after reformatting the computer using any of the three licenses.

 

Please follow the steps below to resolve this:

   

1.

If you are using more than three computers and you want to protect all of them, you have to purchase another license to get a new serial number. Otherwise proceed to the next step.

   

2.

Type your account password in the field provided for you and then click Next.

   

3.

When the Transfer Protection from Another Computer page appears, do the following:

   
 

a.

Choose a username to replace.

 

Note: If you had an installation that was lost, Trend Micro suggests choosing the username that was associated with that for replacement.

     
   

     
 

b.

Type a new computer description in the field provided and then click Next.

   

4.

Confirm that all information entered is correct and then click Finish.
