1.

Install the OfficeScan client and Microsoft SCT on each of the clients. Install these in any order.

Important: IfMicrosoft SCT was installed first, ensure thatthe Windows Disk Protection is turned OFF before installing OfficeScan.

2.

Download the SCTTrendMicroAntivirus.exe from Microsoft Site. Install the additional or updated modules for Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit.

Execute SCTTrendMicroAntivirus.exe to get the following files:

a.

AntivirusUpdates.xml

b.

SCTTrendMicroAntiVirus.vbs

c.

Copy and replace the original file AntivirusUpdates.xml with the latest update to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit\xml

d.

Copy the SCTTrendMicroAntiVirus.vbs to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit\scripts\update directory

3.

Download the ClientUpdateNow Tool Build 1257 and the ReadMe file.

a.

View the ReadMe file before installing the hot fix.

b.

Extract the content of the Tool_B1257_ClientUpdateNow.zip to any folder on the OfficeScan server.

c.

Double click the file Tool_B1257_ClientUpdateNow.exe

d.

Click Install to proceed with the installation.

Note: When running this file, the ClnUpdNow.exe file will be copied to a specific folder on the OfficeScan server and then the CldUpdNow.exe file will be deployed automatically to all of the OfficeScan clients managed by the OfficeScan server that has an NT OS.

Important: Ensure thatthe Windows Disk Protection is turned OFF before running the hot fix.

4.

On the OfficeScan server, configure all of the settings including:

search options

client privileges

update settings (for both the OfficeScan server and the OfficeScan clients)

update source

firewall profiles and policies

5.

Run a manual update the OfficeScan server in order to deploy the new components, including the latest pattern files, to the OfficeScan clients.

6.

When the deployment process has finished, perform Scan Now for all of the OfficeScan clients.

7.

On each of the clients, turn on the "Windows Disk Protection" function of Microsoft SCT.

8.

The installed Officescan client will be detected. When the dialog box with message "Do you want to specify
the default signature update script?
" appears, click Yes.

9.

A file name will be entered automatically in the Antivirus Script field of Microsoft SCT.

Note: The filename of the script automatically entered here is the name of the VBS file in the "additional/updated modules for Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit."

10.

Set the Updates Schedule for Microsoft SCT and select OK.

11.

When a dialog box appears asking to restart the computer, click Yes to turn on Windows DiskProtection.
